Students read Jack London’s short story To Build a Fire, compare climates and populations of different regions in North America and Europe, conduct experiments comparing insulators and design a technology that harnesses solar energy, and compare and order rational numbers. Technology is incorporated using a blog, google docs, and multimedia software.
